McNeil Product recall update

IMPORTANT UPDATE-MORE RECALLS!!! McNeil has extended its recall to include both chewable and swallowable tablets. For more information and a full list of recalled products-including lot numbers, visit:  http://www.mcneilproductrecall.com  http://www.fda.gov/medwatch . For our patients on zyrtec, loratidine (claritin) may be used instead of zyrtec at the same dosage and is available as a liquid.  We are currently reccomending that you purchase only the generic (store) brands of the recalled medications provided that they were not manufactured by McNeil (check label or ask pharmacy staff).  Please discard any of the recalled medications immediately.
